Facebook Shares Cost

February 10, 2012 by staff

Facebook Shares Cost, KNEW something was out of whack when a young dude with mouth piercings messaged me on Facebook to ask about becoming an international investor.

Dude: “What do you think of the Facebook IPO (initial public offering)? I’m thinking of getting in on the ground floor.”

Barefoot: “Zuckerberg’s dorm was the ground floor. This is a $100 billion company.”

That honour goes to a graffiti artist called David Choe, who was hired back in 2005 to do some artwork for Facebook’s first office. At the time he thought the social networking site was “ridiculous and pointless”, but when they offered to pay him in cash or the equivalent in Facebook shares, he wisely took the shares.

Today that paint job is reportedly worth $US500 million. Now that’s what you call the ground floor.
