Fabio, Tottenham striker Peter Crouch has backed his boss to take on England in Fabio Capello leaves office. Crouch has been scoring in thick and fast and Harry Redknapp has admitted he does not want the 63 years to leave White Hart Lane and asked him to stay as long as possible. But the former Liverpool player said he would like him to move to a destination – Wembley – that “there is no better” suited to the job.

The former manager of Portsmouth took Spurs in the last 16 of the Champions League and maybe another top-four finish in sight. And, although “a lot of respect for Capello, the 29-year-old Redknapp feels it would be better because it brings the best in him and his personality is more suited for work in England.

“It is similar to Rafa Benitez in the way he treats you, while Harry will talk to you and put an arm around you.

“Harry will talk to you if you had a terrible game or a good game, and then maybe Capello is a bit further away.

“Every country has a different mentality. With Harry, he knows how to get the best of me.

“It’s going to speak and be honest with me if I had a good or a bad game. Harry’s costume as me. ”

Tottenham face defending champions Chelsea at home on Sunday. They can recall Aaron Lennon, Luka Modric and Alan Hutton, after the trio was rested against FC Twente in midweek and Peter Crouch may be associated with Jermaine Defoe up front. Rafael van der Vaart (hamstring) has not yet recovered, but Younes Kaboul is in contention to start after his thigh problem.
