Eric Foster Injury, Eric Foster, who left the defeat of the Indianapolis Colts on Monday night after dislocating his right ankle horribly, will have surgery and miss the rest of the season, Colts Coach, Jim Caldwell, told reporters after the game.
Foster on Monday night at a hospital in Tampa Bay after the Colts lost to the Buccaneers. That was injured just before the break in defeat, when it became entangled with Colts defensive end Tyler Brayton and his ankle twisted to one side.
Many of his fellow defense team standing or kneeling in the field in shock, hands over his eyes and tears as Foster was carted off the field. He gave some signs of encouragement when, as he was taken out, pumping his chest and shouted to his teammates.
Hours after the game ended, Foster tweeted another sign of encouragement.
“Thanks to the very kind words 4 u” he wrote. “I thank God or in advance. Women everywhere are trying gettn 4 of cancer. May God have mercy on us all o”.
Colts owner Jim Irsay also tweeted that Foster could stay in the hospital in Tampa for a couple of days.
“Eric is resting comfortably in hospital Tampa, n good humor, which will house 2 b Indy na couple of days,” wrote Irsay.
