Elton John Justin Timberlake Biopic

Elton John Justin Timberlake Biopic, Elton John has high expectations when it comes to the actor he hopes will portray him in an upcoming biopic about his life. The Golden Globe-nominated “Hello, Hello” singer recently spoke to The Los Angeles Times about the project he’s been working on, and John said there’s some pretty big news about it on the horizon. While they do have a director lined up for the film, there’s still no actor attached to it, which is where John’s wish-list comes into play.
“No. 1 on my wish list is Justin Timberlake, because he played me before in a David LaChapelle video of “Rocket Man” and was superb,” John told the Times.
Keep in mind that this is just John sharing who he’d like to play himself in a film, and far from confirmed news. Still, it would be pretty great to see Timberlake portray another famous musical pop star on the big screen. He’s already lined up to play one famous music icon in the biopic “Spinning Gold,” and also has reportedly been offered on of the male leads in the Coen brothers’ folk music film “Inside Llewyn Davis.” This would be his third musically-inclined flick in a row, if he does agree to join the project.
And have no doubts that an Elton John biopic will be musical. Not only is John planning the film to be a “jukebox musical in earnest,” he’s also toying with the idea of creating new songs for the movie. John compared his vision to Baz Luhrmann‘s 2001 musical “Moulin Rouge.”
“It’s going to be a surreal look at my life, and not just a factual look at my life, more in the manner of a ‘Moulin Rouge!’” he said. “I just don’t want it to be a normal biopic because my life hasn’t been like that.”
