CM Punk entered the elimination chamber as the WWE Champion and he had the bad luck of being one of the first participants. Despite this, he managed to survive against R-Truth, Kofi Kingston, The Miz, Dolph Ziggler and Chris Jericho.
One of the most memorable parts of the match came when CM Punk delivered a high kick and knocked Jericho right out of the chamber. Jericho needed medical attention and eliminated from the match for that reason.

Santino Morello earned a spot in the Elimination Chamber match on “Friday Night Smackdown” and he would take the whole PPV to prepare himself. During multiple backstage segments, Morello trained and worked hard to prepare for his title shot.
It seemed as if all the training paid off, because Morello had one of the best performances of the night. Santino took advantage of the chaotic action and managed to eliminate Cody Rhodes and Wade Barrett. He nearly defeated World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan until Bryan locked in his Lebell Lock submission and made him tap out.
WWE Raw GM John Laurinaitis made an appearance at Elimination Chamber to make an announcement that he wants the job of Smackdown GM Teddy Long. Among his WWE Superstar supporters, Christian finally made his return to the WWE. He had been out with an injury, but his return should add a spark of life to the “Smackdown” roster.
