El Cid, In San Luis Open Greenlands were 4 teams registered, and Averil Tooze, Jeannie Clements and Barry Latham were in a tough group with 4 of the 6 teams finishing on equal points but with the difference best shot they have progressed to the semifinals where they come into their own, winning comfortably. In the end it was very close contest with our team to come out on top. An excellent result.
Colin Lloyd and Jeannie Clements have disappeared, only to return to Jeannie with a new name, Jeannie Lloyd! Congratulations to you both. Rumor has it they wanted to marry so they can enter the competition Mr & Mrs.
Winter League had gone to El Cid, where there was really tough, and the result was in doubt until the end. We won 2 and lost 2, and lost 71-73 shot difference. Hard Luck! The Berleen also lost 28-32 on the whole, therefore, not take all the points.
Premier 20 was against Quesada, where the gap we lost all 4, while at home, we lost three disciplines, winning the trip Lin and Brian Miller and Dave O Sullivan 36-8.The final score was 14-2 Quesada, now the next round.
Southern League saw the Greens away in Emerald Isle Diamonds where they managed to win two rinks, and then lost 10-4, while the yolks were at home against Montemar Montador where they had impressive victories over five rinks, more substantially Lynne Morris, Phil Heyes and Allan Brown won 44-4, and with a 168-60 difference in shooting for us the result was 12-2.
The result of jaundice last week has not been reported, but they were against the Country Bowls Ramblers where there was only one trip winner Jim Reeves, Mike Regan and Marilyn Fryatt 26-7, with a difference and cons of shooting of 84-117, we won just the 2 points.
