East Carolina Football, Now, the Red Raiders open the season today with its new coach Tommy Tuberville at the helm. Tuberville will continue to run the offense that Leach had been widely successful with recent years. If the Red Raiders will have a fall, the odds makers do not predict what will happen in a week.
Texas Tech is favored by two touchdowns at Southern Methodist this afternoon. Virginia Tech, the favorites in the ACC to take on a third Boise State team that feels they have been stolen from a title shot last year. Starting at number three this season, Boise can provide early case if they cannot defeat the Hokies.
The Texas Tech football program has experienced a renaissance under the leadership of Mike Leach, but the relationship crumbled late last season when players turned the once popular car. An incident involving his son ESPNanlyst Craig James has led to the dismissal of Leach.
