Dukan Diet, Two new low-carb diets are the entire buzz among the people trying to lose weight, but how well they compare with nutritionists? We asked experts in weight loss regardless of:
A strict diet that promises quick results is the 17 Day Diet: A Doctor’s Plan Designed for quick results by Mike Moreno, a doctor in San Diego, is the best number 8 in the U.S. Today, the list-selling books.

The diet begins with the accelerating cycle, which includes lean protein, “cleaning plants” such as broccoli and cabbage, and low sugar fruits such as berries and apples, healthy fats (olive oil, flaxseed oil) low-fat yogurt, water and green tea.

It eliminates many foods including fast foods, fried foods, processed foods, starchy carbohydrates such as breads, pasta, sugary cereals, cookies and white bread, and fruits like pineapple, watermelon and banana.

“Most people can expect to lose to 15 pounds during the first 17 days,” says the book.

In the second cycle, alternating diet high in calories and low in calories-day to create “metabolic confusion” says Moreno. It includes some starchy foods such as corn and potatoes. The third cycle reintroducing other foods rich in carbohydrates, and the final cycle allows dieters to eat almost anything in moderation.

Dawn Jackson Blatner, a registered dietitian in Chicago, says that people will lose weight on this diet, because it is low in calories, not by “metabolic confusion.”

She says most of the book is nutritional advice, including the emphasis on the consumption of lean protein, vegetables, fruit, low fat yogurt, whole grains, healthy fats, water and green tea – and exercise.

However, you do not agree with the author’s recommendations to avoid certain fruits and vegetables at the start of the program. “As long as the parts of a plan that limits healthy foods that should be a red flag is not nutritionally balanced.”

The Dukan Diet
Among the most recent news about the royal wedding are rumors about a new diet that is being imported from France.

Kate Middleton’s mother, Carole, has reportedly been after a high-protein weight-loss plan called the Dukan diet created by a French doctor.

A book about the plan, Dukan Diet by Pierre Dukan, published Tuesday in the U.S.

The four-phase program begins with the attack phase, in which people eat only lean protein foods such as fillet mignon, extra lean ham, veal chops, chicken, turkey, salmon and swordfish, eggs, nonfat dairy products and tofu. This part lasts two to seven days.

Then comes the cruise phase, in which dieters pure protein days alternating with days of protein and vegetables, then the consolidation phase, which can hold two meals a week, and finally the stabilization phase in which dieters eat only once a week protein for the rest of their lives. The book includes Dukan list of the natural foods hold the line “and the recipes and menus.

U.S. TODAY Dukan said people like his plan because “it is simple and easy to understand. You can eat as much as you like for the 100 food allowed.”

Some nutritionists say the U.S. want the plan had been to the other side of the pond.

“This is another high protein, the unbalanced rigid regime,” says Bonnie Taub-Dix, a registered dietitian in New York \ and a nutrition blogger for food.usatoday.com. “I would like the high-profile celebrities and dignitaries would realize how important role models.”

People lose weight Dukan diet, reducing calories drastically, but when they restrict healthful foods such as vegetables, fruits and whole grains, no side effects like fatigue, dry mouth, constipation and bad breath, says Jackson Blatner, a nutrition blogger food.usatoday.com. “In fact, the negative side effects diet should be a red flag that this is not healthy.”

Mireille Guiliano, author of best-selling French Women Do not Get Fat, Dukan says the method is very controversial in France “because the program is” very unbalanced and restrictive. “
