Duchess Catherine: Prince William, Britain’s Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are to return to the balcony on Buckingham Palace where they famously kissed on their wedding day last year.
Britain’s Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will return to the Buckingham Palace balcony where they kissed on their wedding day.
The young couple will join the rest of the royal family for celebrations on the open-air front of the palace to honour Queen Elizabeth’s 60th year on the British throne on June 5.
In addition they will also take part in a procession, the first time Catherine has done since the nuptials on April 29, 2011.
Prince Harry will also take part in the event, which will be the culmination of four days of celebrations making the Diamond Jubilee, including a thanksgiving service at St Paul’s Cathedral and a lunch at Westminster Hall.
A military flyby – similar to the one experienced by Catherine and William on their wedding day – will also take place.
Members of the royal family are visiting the world on Queen Elizabeth’s behalf this year, with Harry recently completing a trip to the Caribbean and Brazil.
