Doug Ford Weigh In

March 23, 2012 by staff

Doug Ford Weigh In, Mayor Rob Ford has lost two pounds since his last weigh-in, tipping the scale at 308 pounds at city hall on Monday morning. Two weeks ago, at his last public weigh-in, the mayor weighed 310 pounds.

“Here we go again,” Ford said before stepping on the scale.  He then read his weight out loud to a room full of reporters and walked back to his office.

He did not respond to questions about the ongoing library strike or other issues. Minutes later, Rob’s brother Coun. Doug Ford stepped on the scale.

“This is going to be a bad one for me,” Doug Ford said.

“I did go the Cheesecake Factory twice while on vacation, but I didn’t have any cheesecake,” he said.

Ford weighed 249 pounds. At his March 5 weigh-in, he weighed 248 pounds. Doug Ford also declined to comment on the library workers’ strike, the local 79 strike vote, and Wednesday’s transit vote.

“I ran into a communications director in Florida and he said the best communication is none,” Ford said.

The mayor and his brother are each trying to lose 50 pounds by June 18. At the start of their Cut the Waist weight-loss challenge last month, the mayor was 330 pounds, and Doug was 275 pounds.
