Donna And Terry Claver Lost Ring Found, Some 36 years after losing a prized possession, a Stanford couple found more than just their missing item – they also found the international spotlight.

Donna and Terry Claver were newlyweds when Donna’s engagement ring fell into the toilet.

It wasn’t until Thanksgiving of 2011 when Terry drove past their old house and noticed that some broken toilets were being removed from the home.

He asked to have the toilet, and when he smashed it open he found the ring in its casting.

The story has received international recognition, but the two say the best part has been reconnecting with friends.

“You know the people you should call, and never call…it’s sparked some of that. And we renewed acquaintances and heard from people we haven’t heard from for years. So that’s been a really good thing,” Terry said.

The couple was featured on an Australian news program over the weekend via satellite from the Montana News Station studio in Great Falls and their story has been featured in newspapers and magazines all over the world.
