Dmae Products, The Food and Drug Administration ready to go after manufacturers of popular anti-aging treatments such as DMAE? DMAE Skin Cream is one of many products skin care as Retin A and vitamin C than the anti-aging promises more attractive they are illusory. DMAE, or dimethylaminoethanol, was initially developed for its ability to improve memory. It may also be associated with slight increase longevity in laboratory animals when results can be reproduced in humans.

As an “alternative makeover, DMAE came into use because of its tendency to slightly tighten skin, reduce sagging of the face. The mechanism by which it accomplishes this change is not fully understood. However, DMAE has been sold since the 1990s without major incident.

A 2007 study in the British Journal of Dermatology raised concerns that DMAE can cause skin damage from low level. The researchers observed vacuolation and epidemal thickening and swelling, possible indicators of cellular damage.
