Disney Cruise Line, The waterways of the Inside Passage will be a little busy this summer. Disney Cruise Line announced Thursday it will hold an initial sailing to Southeast Alaska in May, then offer 14 seven-night cruises from Seattle in 2012.

From May 28 next year, the Disney Wonder visit Tracy Arm, Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan, and Victoria, British Columbia.

The company plans to work with local tour operators to package tours in ports of call including Juneau glacier tours, fishing for salmon in Ketchikan and panning for gold in Skagway.

“I am very pleased with today’s announcement from Disney,” said Parnell. “Thousands of additional families will have the opportunity to experience Alaska. Disney Cruise Line has shown confidence in the business climate in Alaska by the addition of another ship in 2012.”
