Dickies, Dickies (R), the world’s leading brand of work clothing, is pleased to announce the grand prize winner of the Dickies American Worker 2010 of the Year (R), presented by Sears and Kmart. After carefully reviewing thousands of entries as well as six regional finalists, a panel of judges appointed Theresa Voss, nurse neuro-intensive care in Rockford, Illinois, that the 18th edition of American workers Dickies year.

As the 2010 Dickies American Worker of the year, and 100,000 will receive Voss for his tireless dedication to her work, community and family. She also received a trip to the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) event in Charlottesville, VA September 25 and 26, where she appeared on versus during the television program and was recognized for his inspiring contributions to the population American labor. His son accompanied him on the trip, and is also the person responsible for his nomination for the award. Voss determination, drive, compassion and commitment have inspired his son to follow in his footsteps and he is currently studying nursing.

Her dedication and love for nursing should be commended, especially given the physical strength, mental and emotional need for such a demanding and often overlooked. ”

As a nurse neuro-intensive care, Voss has spent his entire career on the night shift, care for patients and their families in order to be able to spend the day giving back to the community and his family. When Voss was not in the hospital for a 12-hour shift, she volunteered as a school nurse conducting hearing tests and visual, takes blood pressure readings after the Sunday service at his parish and educates young mothers in fixed income on ways to save money and support their families. It also helps student nurses in their youth mentoring and calls for an invitation to the graduation ceremony to celebrate what she calls “the growth of a nurse.”

For Voss, being a nurse is the fulfillment of a childhood dream. “I put all my effort into my work. It is a very big part of me, “said Voss. “Seeing people who at one time had something to take away, slowly getting it back. That’s all the thanks in the world that you need. ”

Voss was selected by a panel of judges as one of six American workers of the Year regional finalists on Sept. 16, before being appointed in 2010 Dickies American Workers of the Year award recipient big. The other 5 regional finalists each received in 5000 and prices. Other finalists: Trent Chrisco, handyman of Seagrove, NC; Troy Watts, a construction worker carrying Puyallup, Washington, Mark Bohm, an electrical engineer from Bailey, Colorado; James Schramm, owner of a landscaping business for small and operator of Menomonee Falls, Wis., and Thomas Minden, a construction foreman in Roseland, NJ

In its 18th annual Dickies American Worker of the Year (R) Contest, presented by Sears and Kmart, Dickies continues to support and honor the men and women work hard.
