Diabetes And Diet

Diabetes And Diet, Even with all the recent controversial media coverage of what many successful weight loss clients are calling the “obesity cure” diet, Dr. Shari Hall, a Yale and Columbia graduate, and former cardiothoracic anesthesiologist, decided to do an in depth personal investigation of the HCG Diet by trying it herself. As a member of the 34% of Americans who are currently obese, with a BMI of 35 and a body fat percentage of 44, she knew it was time to act now. “With a strong family history of hypertension and diabetes, as an obese person, I knew I was a ticking time bomb. It was time for me to choose between life and death,” says Dr. Hall.
Millions of Americans look to achieve weight loss fast every day. In 2010, the weight loss industry was valued at over $60.9 billion, according to Marketdata Enterprises. Dr. Shari Hall is no exception. After investing a significant amount of money in different weight loss programs and private personal trainers over the years, she still tipped the scales at 214 pounds. At five feet six inches, her body mass index and family history put her at an elevated risk for developing such preventable diseases as hypertension, adult-onset diabetes, coronary artery disease, and stroke. Seeing her former operating room colleague, Dr. Mehmet Oz, discuss the risks and benefits of the HCG Diet on his show earlier this year, and speaking with friends who had tried it successfully themselves, she decided the benefits outweighed the risks.
Originally described in the early 1950′s by Dr. A.T.W. Simeons in the ma**script “Pounds and Inches”, the use of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, a hormone produced by placental cells with multiple functions during pregnancy, when combined with a very low calorie diet, was hypothesized to produce rapid, safe, effective, and permanent loss of abnormal adipose tissue. Although subsequent research has not definitively substantiated his claims and long term effectiveness appears no more permanent than any other weight loss regimen, the HCG Diet has thousands of satisfied customers worldwide.
“I have had amazing personal success with the physician-prescribed patented oral formulation of HCG. In four months, I have lost 55 pounds, lowered my blood pressure and cholesterol from previously high abnormal levels to well within the normal range, and I feel healthier, happier, fitter, and more energized than before!” She cautions that the HCG Diet may not be the right choice for every person wanting to shed unwanted pounds and inches, but for those who have struggled for years without success, it may be a suitable alternative. Dr. Hall says, “No matter which weight loss management program one chooses, it’s important to remember that it is a major behavioral modification and commitment to living a healthy lifestyle in moderation that keeps the weight off.” The Life Transformation Centre was created to provide customized programs and support for those individuals committed to making a major life change in an effort to improve not only their health and wellness, but that of the world.
