Detroit Auto Show 2010,When the North American Car of the Year and the North American Truck of the Year awards were handed out at the 2010 North American International Auto Show in Detroit today, it appeared to be the Ford Motor Company that reigned supreme.
According to nytimes.com, Ford Motor Company managed to bag both awards, with the Ford Fusion Hybrid winning the car award, and the mold-breaking Transit Connect van winning the judge’s votes in the truck of the year category.
Having the Ford Fusion Hybrid winning the car award, means that it is the fourth time that a gasoline-electric hybrid car has won the award in the 17 years that the awards have been going. Ford’s Escape Hybrid won the award in 2005.
