Dayspring Ecards, Dayspring Cards was born in a small commercial print in Covina, California, in 1971. Four Christian men – Dean Kerns, Don Leetch, Russ Flint, and Roy Lessin, founded the company. These men started Dayspring with a common vision, to know Christ through the message board.

The first greeting card was created in the winter of that year. It was a Christmas card with a very simple but direct message. The cover of the card shows a man sitting near a Christmas tree after the gifts were opened. There was a look of despair on his face. The cover read,

When the card was sent, shop owners and customers have responded enthusiastically. This map served as messenger to Dayspring aware of the need for capital development of Christian cards. Additional cards for Christmas and other occasions were soon developed and the tag line if you want to share your heart and love of God was written to express the mission of Dayspring.

The company remained in California for eight years, and experienced great growth and acceptance in the Christian publishing industry. In 1979, thanks to the Lord’s direction, Dayspring moved to the city of Siloam Springs in northwest Arkansas. The company purchased land and built his factory in a beautiful country setting near the Illinois River. Only 30 employees have moved to Arkansas to begin this new adventure.

Shortly after the move, Dayspring made a major change of direction, becoming full service greeting card company Christian bookstores. Sell images instead of individual cards the company launched a new phase of growth and expansion. In recent years the staff increased tenfold. New buildings were constructed, and Dayspring was about to become the largest publisher and distributor of Christian greeting cards worldwide.

In 1987, Dayspring partnered with David C. Cook Publishing Company and became a wholly owned division of Cook Communications Ministries. Acquired Dayspring personal expressions and line Sunshine ® press card box Warner in 1997.

In 1999, Dayspring was acquired by Hallmark Cards, Inc. Cook Communications. A press release from Hallmark Cards contains details about the purchase and exciting partnership between Hallmark and Dayspring.

In 2006, founded Dayspring Blessings Unlimited, a company offering products of some Christian and inspirational for sale by independent consultants. The company is composed of Christian entrepreneurs across the United States run their own business by the department office.
