Darrell Hammond Cut Himself

Darrell Hammond Cut Himself, “Saturday Night Live” impersonations teacher Darrell Hammond used drugs, alcohol and cut to meet a brutally abusive childhood – and once it was cut so badly he had to take the “SNL” in a straitjacket, says her new memoir.
Hammond says his drinking problem led him to lose the second inauguration of President Clinton, and he did not begin to recover until an emergency physician told him he was suffering from post-traumatic disorder.
Hammond – who was with “SNL” for 14 seasons and has given the phrase “Live from New York, it’s Saturday night” more times than anyone in “SNL” history – describes his battle with drugs, alcohol and the cut in his new memoir, “God, if you’re not up there, I’m F — ed: Tales of Stand-Up,” Saturday Night Live “and other mind-altering Mayhem”.
