Dallas Morning News, Two boats carrying eight children and four adults on Lake Lewisville crashed, critically injuring at least one child.

The Dallas Morning News reports that a vessel found the other side, the collapse on Sunday. Everyone at the party was taken to hospital, many with minor injuries.

Parks and Wildlife Department spokesman Texas Lydia Saldaña said that 10 years of age, Jihad Salem was the most seriously injured and underwent surgery on his head Sunday at Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth. The hospital released no information on his condition.

Parks and Wildlife Department is investigating the accident. Saldaña said that there was no evidence of alcohol or negligence on the part of adults.

She says that every one wore a lifejacket.
