Dallas Baptist Baseball, Dallas Baptist batted around during an eight-run first inning and went on to hold off Oral Roberts 11-9 to win the NCAA Regional in Fort Worth on Monday. The Patriots (42-18), in his sixth season as NCAA Division I independent, advanced to its first Super Regional.
Behmanesh Ryan had three hits, including two doubles and two RBIs for Dallas Baptist, who sent 11 batters to the plate in the first inning. Jason Krizan, Behmanesh, Kenny Hatcher, Austin Elkins, Josh Wilson, Tyler Robbins Landon Anderson and all had run-scoring hits.
Oral Roberts put the tying run at second in the eighth inning with the heart of their order coming up, but closer to Chris Elder Chris Haney struck out and Brandon King to end it.
King had a grand slam and drove in three runs Edler for the Golden Eagles (39-22).
Tallahassee Regional Florida State 11, Alabama 1: Seat Scott threw four scoreless innings and the Florida State advanced to the super regional for the fourth consecutive year.
The game ended after being stopped in the sixth inning Sunday night due to rain and lightning with the Seminoles leading 8-1.
When play resumed, he took over the seat and got his first save of the season. Florida State (45-17) will host a super regional against Texas A & M-Arizona winner. That game in College Station, Texas, was postponed until Tuesday due to a storm.

McGee hit three doubles, Jayce Boyd homered and doubled, and regional MVP James Ramsey had three stations of the State of Florida of 19 hits.
Texas 5, Kent State 0, Texas used six pitchers and smart baserunning to win the NCAA Austin Regional. The Longhorns (47-16) will host Arizona State in a three-game series beginning Friday Austin.
Texas got its offense going in the bottom of the first when Tant Shepherd opened with a double and came close to scoring on a throwing error to give Texas a 1-0 lead. The Longhorns added runs in the third innings, sixth, seventh and eighth.
Kendal Carrillo (6-1) pitched 1 1 / 3 innings for the win after starting Stafford Sam struck out five in 3 2-3 innings.
Mace Ryan (5-3) allowed three runs and six hits in 5 1 / 3 tickets Kent State (45-17).
California Regional Houston 9, Baylor 8: California scored four runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to lead Baylor to advance to the super regional. Devon Rodriguez went 3-for-4 with four RBIs for the third-seeded Bears (35-21).
