Cristiane Justino SantosCristiane Justino Santos, Christiane Justino Santos, one of the most feared women on the planet, has just tested positive for steroids. The Cyborg, who is currently the Strikeforce women’s featherweight champion, could soon be stripped over her title.

The California State Athletic Commission put out a press release today saying that Cyborg Santos tested positive for an anabolic steroid. Cage Potato reports that Santos’ last win over Hiroko Yamanaka, which occurred the day before she tested positive for steroids, will be changed to a no-contest. Santos will also have her license suspended.

CSAC Executive Officer George Dodd said in a press release: “Our primary concern is for the health and safety of fighters. Anabolic agents and other banned substances put not only the users of those agents at risk, but their opponents as well. The commission simply will not tolerate their use.”

Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker said that he hasn’t seen the results of the drug test yet. Coker said:

“Strikeforce has not seen the test results regarding Ms. Santos. However, we have a consistent and strong stance against any use of performance-enhancing drugs… We will closely monitor the matter and will work with the California State Athletic Commission regarding any information we may be asked to provide. We also recognize that Ms. Santos has administrative process rights under California law and we hope that she is not prejudged before she has the opportunity to exercise such rights.”
