Cricket World Cup 2011 Live Streaming, Portillo! Sangakkara c Dhoni b Yuvraj (67) SL 122 / 3 What a disaster in Sri Lanka! Its captain, strangled by Yuvraj! How horrible for dismissal Sangakkara. It was a long jump off Yuvraj stump, and you could see eyes lighting up as beacons Belisha Sangakkara as he lined up the cut. In a split second, however, there was a small wooden click and Dhoni was throwing the ball in the air with delight. Only three balls before he had played an excellent shot threaded through the space in mid-stop for four people. Now all in vain, however. Crucial breakthrough for India!
Over 27: Jayawardene Sangakkara SL 114 / 2 41 * 32 *
Great return to Bhajji! Shaken by Harbhajan tempting, like a pork pie in a chain, but it starts from the surface, flapping wide Sangakkara loft unit. That was too hot and Dhoni fumbles the shot. Oooh and aaahs (mostly ooohs, to be honest) of the crowd. And now Jayawardene almost gone! This court later, the ball turns sharply around the wicket, and that is loss of trunk width of garlic naan bread. Jayawardene connects to the cut end of the last ball over, Tendulkar’s expanding the border to keep two.
OVER: SL 111 / 2 Sangakkara Jayawardene 40 * 30 *
Another full launch of Yuvraj, but Jayawardene cannot put it away, find the man in the long and get one. That’s better, though! Just a little wide and Jayawardene Yuvraj expected before dabbing away from fourth to third man! This brings us to the position 50 in only balls.
OVER: SL 105 / 2 Sangakkara Jayawardene 39 * 25 *
Lord, Michael Vaughan. Twitter just something that would be more of a 13-year-old most successful England captain ever. Suffice it to say that takes advantage of the intelligence of a second, more licentious of the word ‘pull’, which juxtaposed with the name of the stadium (the Wankhede) to produce something that could be called ‘humor’. Jayawardene makes the delivery of the leg-stump of Harbhajan to slip just wide of the leg. Sangakkara then receives a single behind square on the leg side which becomes two when Yuvraj’s throw hits the stumps and dribbling away in the gardens. Five of the most, and in the middle of the stage of Sri Lanka are probably about 20 or 30 runs short of where I wanted to be, but still have wickets in hand.
Let’s look at the past five one-day international matches played at the Wankhede Stadium, which brings us back to the turn of the millennium. I’m not counting the New Zealand v Canada procession for two weeks, although Andrew Flintoff story memorable performance in 2003, when he concluded a series of elaborate one day (a rare occurrence in England) by castling Javagal Srinath, pulling his shirt, and waving around his head.
Anyway, back to business. The team batting first has won three of these matches and lost two, which is encouraging because it suggests that the end will not be decided in the draw. The range of scores of entries first extends from to 193 (both from Australia, as is the case), with an average of 244. And the average score after 15 acquisitions is 84 by, so this is an area where the teams have been able to go ballistic with the bat. At least, not without horribly unstuck.
When the final was won and lost
Each party will be scanned and the other for weaknesses. For India, the second string bowling is a potential Achilles heel, while the two teams have fewer orders potentially fragile. As Suresh Raina showed yesterday, late 30 or 40 could well be decisive in the long term.
