Craigslist ad services adult sex finally replaced by a “censored” word in black instead – reportedly unavailable to U.S. users Craigslist.
CNN recently confronted with Craig Newmark, the Craig “in Craigslist” in this video, which shows how easy it used to be for underage girls, even to be exploited through the website.
“What are you doing to protect these children?” CNN reporter asked Newmark, who was there and said nothing, walking around aimlessly.
Perhaps it was this confrontation that led to Craigslist to reduce its reputation as “the Walmart of online sex and eventually trying to do something to save their souls.
Although it sounds like Michael Arrington is more on the side of Craigslist, writing that the censorship was due to people using “any excuse to blame sexual crimes on the site.”
Maybe if one of those sex offenders affected Craiglists someone he loved, he would be different – and the sound less compassionate toward poor ol ‘Craigslist being censored.
