Cotto Fight Results, Miguel Cotto defeated Antonio Margarito in a technical knockout before they start the 10th round at the Madison Square Garden Saturday. Cotto punished Margarito by hitting him hard on the head using his uppercats.

With the advantage of almost getting all the nine rounds to his advantage, Cotto landed punches on Margarito’s eye that eventually disabled his capacity to see and anticipate his opponents punches. Margarito couldn’t counter with his eye close and his body becoming weary.

With the win, Cotto retained his title as he delivered a masterful performance to avenge his loss in 2008 to a faster and stronger Margarito. Cotto also had all the nine rounds to his name and even if Margarito would have to continue he must knock out Cotto.

Three years ago Cotto was in the same situation surrendering the fight as the opponent makes the move and punches. This time around, Cotto’s preparation was perfect and that his side studied how to counter the attacks of Margarito.

In a capacity crowd of 21, 239 at the Madison Garden, the fans and spectators knew beforehand that Cotto was winning the fight as he boxed out Margarito in a different manner, this time with force. He never let Margarito to be on the offensive.

The Puerto Rican made is sure the he will win this fight as he said earlier that he was supposed to beat Margarito if he didn’t cheat. Yes, Cotto accused Margarito of taking advantage of him as he was found out to cheat against Mosley.
