Controversial Beauty Queens, Philippines – The former beauty queen Melanie Marquez now enjoys a quieter life in the U.S. with her new occupation: agriculture.

The controversial supermodel is proud of her latest venture, ABS-CBN said “Balitang America” ??in a recent interview, “In the glamorous life and then to the unglamorous, who became a farmer. Important SA Hindi Lang Tao pure glamor. Kelangang magkaroon tayo ng ability. ”

Melanie is currently based in Utah, living with her fourth attorney Adam and her sons. An earlier report said that Melanie byBulletin Entertainment has two sons of Adam, Adam Jr. and Abraham. She has four other children from previous marriages.

Although her modeling career has apparently taken a back seat, however, Melanie graced a local fashion show in Mesa, Arizona, recently, “Balitang America” ??also reported.

In the same interview, Melanie admitted to feeling like a “beginner again” in this glamorous setting.

“I feel very nervous, you know. But it is good to do this show because it’s a charity show. That’s why I’m here. There is a purpose,” he added.

The Miss International 1979 winner was Edgar Madamba creations, Edgar San Diego and dad Richard, who, according to the “Balitang America” ??report, there have been around “key cities” in America over the past six weeks.

Asked to hand out advice to aspiring models, Melanie had this to say: “I hope to learn the tradition and culture and be a filipino … you have to love the culture of the Filipinos.”

Meanwhile, another beauty queen trying to make a name for itself is Maya Celeste Padilla Olesen, Danish-Philippine Representative of Denmark in the parade this year’s Miss World in London.

In an interview published in, Maya related how proud she is of her roots, having been born to a Danish father and a Filipino mother of Bohol.

“I feel very honored that I will represent Denmark, and I think it’s great that I’m half Danish, half Filipino, because Denmark is a country that is an ethnic mix of Danish immigrants and so I think I represent the best part of Denmark, “said Maya, whose family emigrated to Denmark when he was three.

Maya addition, three other candidates with Filipino blood that played the crown of Miss World, namely the Philippine-American Siera Robertson (Miss World-Guam), former “Pinoy Big Brother” celebrity housemate, Philippines- Riza Santos Canadian (Miss World-Canada), and Gwendolyn Ruais (Miss World, Philippines). The report noted that this is the first time that the parade would have said four beauty queens with Filipino lineage line of candidates.
