Congressman Booted For Wearing Hoodie, Congressman booted for wearing hoodie, Bobby Rush’s hoodie gets him tossed from House floor (VIDEO), Bobby Rush is ordered out of the House chamber when he takes off his jacket to send a message. Illinois Rep. Bobby Rush, a Democratic Congressman, was ordered to leave the House chamber on Wednesday because he was wearing a hooded sweatshirt in honor of Trayvon Martin. Trayvon Martin: Congressman Dons Hoodie in Support, Rep. Bobby Rush, D-Ill., kicked off House floor for improper dress code.

Rush began a speech wearing a suit jacket, removing it to reveal a hoodie underneath. “Racial profiling has to stop,” Rush said. “Just because someone wears a hoodie, [it] does not make them a hoodlum.”
