Comed Power Outage

Comed Power Outage, ComEd has indicated that more than 615,000 Chicago-area customers are currently without electricity. Approximately 45 percent of these interruptions (280,000) are located in the northern suburbs. Before – ComEd reports that more than 80,000 customers in northern Illinois are without power due to strong thunderstorm this morning.
Skokie region – which includes Evanston and other surrounding areas – seems to be most affected, with more than 20,000 residents without electricity, according to ComEd’s website.
A spokesman for the village of Skokie said the official word from ComEd is that more than 800 homes are without electricity in Skokie.
At least 2,500 are without electricity in northern Cook County and to the border of Wisconsin. An additional 78,000 residents in the western territory of Illinois also without electricity.
In Chicago, 500 people are said to be without electricity.
A ComEd official said there is more than 450 crewmembers repair outages the storm. The timing was not given to the electricity would be up and running.
Meanwhile, in Lincolwnood neighbors, local Lowes Home Improvement is without power and running on a generator. Several trees have fallen also in the Skokie area, including one in 8400 block of Lotus Avenue that landed on a vehicle.
