CN Rail Accident

CN Rail Accident, An investigation is underway after a worker was killed Thursday CN in a collision with a VIA Rail station west of Pickering. That happened around 13:15 the train was headed to Toronto from Montreal. Durham police say happened during a window of 15 to 20 minutes when no trains were to pass. The victim has been identified as 53-year-old Rick McColl Hampton Ontario, an employee of 32 years with CN.
Police say the victim was working with another man and when she saw the train. They ran in opposite directions, but not off the road McColl in time.
The accident had a major impact on rush hour traffic, with the suspension of service between Pickering and Guildwood station. Shuttle buses were called to transport passengers. Full service was resumed about 5 pm
“An employee of NC was working near this place … (and) was fatally injured when he was hit by a train westbound via” confirmed Frank Binder CN Rail.
“The incident is being investigated by the NC and Durham Regional Police.”
