Christopher Columbus Facts, In 1492, Christopher Columbus sailed ColumbusChristopher navy and the same year he first set foot on American soil. Everyone knows these facts and some more about Christopher Columbus and his discovery of America. However, little is known about the actual discoverer. Some interesting facts about the man himself is reflected in this piece of writing.

Known throughout the world as Christopher Columbus, his real name was Chrisoffa Coromba, which was then translated into English as Christopher Columbus.

Columbus never actually set foot on American soil, however, who first landed on a deserted island in the Bahamas.

To sail around the world was not the idea of Columbus, instead of his brother Bartholomew.

Born in Genoa, Italy, began his sailing career at a tender age of 14.

Christopher Columbus could not be recognized as the first person as opposed to the belief that the earth was flat. It AristotleAristotle, who first denied the concept as a myth to describe the fact that the earth’s shadow cast on the moon during an eclipse so that it can not be flat and does not have a spherical shape.

Known as a cruel and brutal ruler of the Spanish, Colon had 23 charges against the atrocities and cruelty.

It was an opium addict who was not a common tendency in Spain, even with the King and Queen take part in their consumption.

No painter ever captured Columbus on his canvas. Paintings of Columbus are a work of fiction.
