Christmas Day Shooting, The authorities believe one of the four women and three men found dead at the scene shot the other six before committing suicide. Police found the victims in the kitchen and living room area of the suburban house, surrounded by wrapping paper and Christmas gifts.

Grapevine Police Sergeant Robert Eberling revealed that two handguns were found at the apartment.

‘It appears they had just celebrated Christmas. They had opened their gifts,’ Sgt Eberling said.

The victims have not yet been identified and the authorities have no idea what sparked the incident.

Police and firefighters rushed to the scene after receiving an open-ended emergency call at around 11:30 am local time.

Jose Fernandez, a resident in the apartment complex, said: ‘This is really outrageous especially on Christmas.

‘This has shocked everybody. It has scared everybody. I guess something like this can happen anywhere, but seven people dead. It’s just very scary,’ he added.

Law enforcement authorities are performing a ‘meticulous’ search of the apartment and are expected to be one the scene for a number of hours to piece together the events.
