Christina Aguilera, Christina Mar? An Aguilera (born December 18, 1980) is an artist and actress. Aguilera appeared on national television in 1990 as a contestant on the show Star Search, and then to play in the Disney Channel television series The Mickey Mouse Club from 1993 to 1994. Aguilera was signed to RCA Records after recording “Reflection”, the theme song of the animated film Mulan (1998).

In 1999, Aguilera became known after her debut album Christina Aguilera, who has been a commercial success spawning three number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 – “Genie in a Bottle,” “What a Girl Wants” and “Come On Over Baby (All I Want Is You). “A Latin pop album, Mi Reflejo (2001), and several collaborations followed which raised Aguilera worldwide success, if it was dissatisfied with her lack of interest in her music and image. After her separation from her management, Aguilera took creative control over her second studio album Stripped (2002). Second single from the album, “Beautiful” was a commercial success and helped sales of the album controversial image performance Aguilera. Aguilera Stripped followed with Back to Basics (2006), which was released to positive critical and included elements of soul, jazz, blues and music. Aguilera’s fourth studio album Bionic (2010), which integrates R & B, electropop, synthpop, and was greeted with mixed reviews and poor sales.

Besides being known for her vocal abilities, music videos and image, musically, she includes themes of dealing with public scrutiny, her childhood, and women’s empowerment in her music. Besides her work in music, she also devoted much of her time as a philanthropist for charities, human rights and international issues. She made her film debut in the musical burlesque (2010), Aguilera earning a Golden Globe nomination for best original song. Working Aguilera has earned numerous awards and honors including a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, four Grammy Awards and a Grammy Latino, between fifteen and three nominations, respectively. Rolling Stone ranked her number fifty-eight on their list of 100 greatest singers of all time, ranking as the youngest artist on the list and under the age of thirty. She was ranked the 20th artist of the decade 2000-09 by Billboard and is the second top selling single artist of the 2000s behind Madonna. Aguilera has sold over 50 million records worldwide making it one of the artists in the music the best selling of all time.

(AP) – Christina Aguilera will sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl in Texas on February 6.

The Grammy award five famous singers will make a point of the NFL championship. It was part of halftime during the Super Bowl 2000.

The NFL and Fox made the announcement Monday.

Other stars to have sung the national anthem at the Super Bowl include Carrie Underwood, Billy Joel, Diana Ross, Neil Diamond, Mariah Carey and Beyonce Knowles.

The halftime show will feature previously announced The Black Eyed Peas.

The Pittsburgh Steelers will play the Green Bay Packers at Cowboys Stadium for the NFL title.
