Matthews_monsterChris Matthews Forgot He Was Black | host Chris Matthews criticized for his comments on air that Obama’s a lot to heal ethnic divisions have not done so, “I had forgotten because he is black”, when Obama was the first State of the Union address Wednesday night, a witness.

Matthews, who appeared on cable network shortly after the speech, the President said:

Matthews made the remarks while praising the president to work to heal the racial divide, and for the provision of the State of the Union speech, which he described as “deep” and “even in harmony with a lot of problems and issues of American life.”

But the “I forgot he was black” remark quickly in the blogosphere on fire on hundreds of spectators wondered about the meaning and implications Matthews talk.

“When I heard the 1st Chris Matthews said:” I thought maybe Prés Obama just looking for a very light-skinned 4 some reason, “[tweeted]” QueenMelmendi “.

Brent Bozell, founder and president of the Center for Media Research, a conservative media watchdog organization, said in remarks reveal bias on the part of Matthews.

“What’s Chris Matthews, is that he does not believe that African Americans are not able to give speeches like this.”

Matthews said the comments “shows the absolute contradiction in the argument about liberalism and color. Who wanted to demonstrate to the color blind society, but is absolutely fixed to do exactly the opposite. [Matthews] can be seen Barack Obama is not qualified because of Barack Obama. Seen through the lens of the word black.”

A spokeswoman for MSNBC did not respond to a request for comment.

Controversial statements are not new to Matthews. And hosts on the air is sharp criticism of the invitation of students and West Point, “the enemy’s camp,” When Obama spoke at the U.S. Military Academy in December.

Matthews has also been criticized for saying he “felt the excitement up my leg” after listening to Obama speak during the presidential primary campaign.
