China will invest $ 10B in Hydro-Power Projects in Pakistan: Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari during his visit to China, met with the president of the Chinese company that is willing to invest $ 10 billion in hydropower projects Pakistan.
In its sixth President’s visit to China, Zardari also met with President of Eximbank, and president of the Three Gorges “Corporation.
Breifing reporters after the meeting, Zardari said the company will build a dam on the banjo and Kohala areas. The dams for the generation of 7000 MW and 12000, respectively.
President Zardari also held talks with its share of China against China Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao.
About $ 7,000,000,000 trade agreement between the two countries are also expected to be discussed.
China’s Foreign Ministry, Qin Gang, told reporters that China and Pakistan sign agreement on cooperation in agriculture, health, economic and technological sectors during the visit of President Zardari.
Commenting on press reports claiming that China tries to balance relations with India and Pakistan, the ambassador said China hopes that the relations of good neighborliness and friendly cooperation with its two neighbors in South Asia.
“We are ready to make joint efforts with India and Pakistan to promote our bilateral relations, which will benefit people in the three countries and common development and prosperity in the region,” Qin said, noting that China is also pleased witnesses in improving Indo-Pak relations.
