Chicago Marathon 2010, Volkswagen of America announced today its 15th consecutive year as the official automotive sponsor of the 2010 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Under the partnership, Volkswagen has created the ultimate FanZone Volkswagen to help the fans and racers celebrate. Marathon weekend will also debut in Chicago in the new Jetta-2011, including the great gift Jetta, where consumers can enter to win a two-year lease on the new Jetta.

Kicking off the weekend in the Health & Fitness Expo, will present the new Volkswagen Jetta-2011 and consumers will benefit from an appearance of ultra-marathoner “Diesel” Dean Karnazes. The riders and fans can also enter The Great Contest Jetta, with permission from Chicago Volkswagen Dealers. Volkswagen VW Team will present a group of 15 riders – which coincides with its sponsorship of 15 years – each has won a contest entry earning a coveted spot in the Marathon. In recognition of support from customers, Volkswagen will provide parking Expo Free Volkswagen drivers and hardware Volkswagen free.
On race day of the event, fans are invited to enjoy free Volkswagen FanZone along Mile 12 (from Wacker and Franklin). Hosted by musician Doug E. Fresh, with a special appearance by OK Go and performances featuring DJ Z-Trip, Show Business, and Chris Masterson, the FanZone is the ultimate place Volkswagen marathon party to watch the race. Moreover, just after the finish line at Mile 27, Volkswagen will distribute free gifts and Volkswagen will present at the post-race celebration.
