Cher Lloyd X Factor Was Better, The Swagger Jagger singer finished fourth behind One Direction, Rebecca Ferguson and Matt Cardle on last year’s show and has suggested 2010 was a better year for X Factor.
Cher said Amelia Lily, Marcus Collins and winners Little Mix were ‘lucky’ to have performed at Wembley Arena during the grand final – but she isn’t convinced the change of venue was a good thing for the show.
‘It’s bigger and very dramatic but I’m not sure it’s better than my year,’ she told the Evening Standard.
‘They are very lucky to have had that experience of playing at Wembley for the final. I’ve played there since being on the show and it’s an amazing feeling.’
The 17-year-old also offered some words of comfort to the contestants on this year’s show, assuring them that you don’t have to win the competition to succeed.
She explained: ‘It’s not about whether you win X Factor or not, it’s the effort you put in and the work you do to make yourself a success.’
‘And people need to believe in you as well, if no-one believes in you and you don’t believe in yourself then you’re never going to do it.’
