Chelsea Handler, Proving once again that 2010-11 was a bad season for the new programming, NBC continued to slash and burn most of their new lineup with last year. So far, “Harry Act” is the only original script program to get one more season – “Law & Order: LA” and “Event” are now gone (as expected), and you can also add “outsourced “to the list.
“Outsourced” began the season as badly as any program can – not just negative criticism, but also claims that Indian call center with the offensive set. The show never gained momentum after that, even after some people started to see the show on a regular basis.
So what is the network of collection to compensate for all the cancellations? This is what we can safely say will be shot by NBC to be successful:
“Are You There, Vodka It’s Me, Chelsea?” – Based on the life of Chelsea Handler, comedy stars Laura Prepon as a younger version of the comedian. (Handler also appears as her sister.)
“BFF” – Another female-skewed comedy, this is obviously an attempt by the network to attract more female audience after testosterone infusion line in recent times.
“Bent” – a vehicle for Amanda Peet
“Free Agent” – Hank Azaria stars in this comedy, and has already received a lot of rumors.
