Chelsea Clinton Leaving NBC

Chelsea Clinton Leaving NBC, Clinton may not return as a special correspondent, Chelsea Clinton’s contributions to NBC News’ “Making a Difference” series have not been well-received by critics and she may be on her way out after her 90-day contract with the television network expires.
A source for The New York Post claims NBC set up “unrealistic expectations” and that Clinton wanted to 90-day contract to see if she liked it. The “Making a Difference” series, which highlights organizations and people doing extraordinary things on NBC Nightly News and Rock Center, was a new challenge for Clinton.
Due to her penchant for staying out of the limelight, her friends and family were more than a little surprised when she signed on as a correspondent says The Huffington Post. Now, after debuting to a less than stellar audience, Clinton’s short-lived career at NBC may already be over. When Clinton first hit the small screen in early December critics were quick to judge her performance.
Hank Stuever, from The Washington Post, wrote of Clinton’s first TV appearance, “How someone can be on TV in such a prominent way and, in her big moment, display so very little charisma?” Stuever slammed the first-time journalist and went on to say that we’re either spoiled by TV’s unlimited personalities or “this woman is one of the most boring people of her era.” Regardless of all the hype, NBC assures us that nothing has been decided yet and that Clinton has been a welcomed addition to the NBC team.
