Charlotte Ross, Who played a detective on “NYPD Blue” and appeared on “Glee,” and “Law & Order,” urges the National Institutes of Health to halt what it sees as a crime against chimpanzees.

As Ross wrote in a letter dated 16 December to NIH Director Francis S. Collins, MD, Ph.D., is determined to block 200 chimpanzees to be delivered to a research laboratory in Texas for invasive experiments.

“As a mother of a young son, I support modern medical research chimpanzee experiments and not inhuman not going to improve or protect human health,” Ross wrote. “Dr. Collins, I urge you not to return Alamogordo chimpanzees in laboratory cages. These amazing animals deserve to spend their last years in peaceful retirement. ”
