Charlie Day Wife Expecting First Child, Great news for Sunny in Philadelphia co-stars Charlie Day and his wife Mary Elizabeth Ellis, who announced Friday night at San Diego Comic-Con (July 22), who is expecting their first child this winter! “We have a child due in December,” confirmed to People magazine Charlie. “We’re five months, and she feels great. We are very excited.”
“We decided that now is the time,” added the star horrible bosses. “And we were lucky that it happened.”
Charlie and Mary will be the second couple in the set to hang on to welcome a baby together: Kaitlin Olson and Rob McElhenney Lee are the parents of Axel, born last September.
According to Charlie, his friends have been offering plenty of advice for parents:
People are always willing to give free advice when you have a baby coming, so we have more than our fair share – and honestly, we’re going to need it!
The duo is currently pregnant in a break from filming while awaiting the arrival of her baby: “It’s going to time it perfectly. We live in Los Angeles, [so] my family and South East Coast family may have to come see us this Christmas. “Best wishes to the happy couple!
