Chandra Levy, (AP) – Jury selection has begun in the trial of a man accused of the death of Washington intern Chandra Levy, after more than nine years after his death made headlines around the world.

Ingmar Guandique (Wahn-DEE’-kay) is accused of murder, kidnapping and other charges. Officials say Levy attacked while running alone in Rock Creek Park in May 2001.

Potential jurors filling out questionnaires Monday were asked about their exposure to pretrial publicity and whether you can sit on the jury of five weeks.

California political career of Congressman Gary Condit implosion after being linked romantically with Levy. The authorities did not believe he had something to do with his death, but a spokesman said he expects to be called as a witness.
