Central Hudson Power OutagesCentral Hudson Power Outages, An autumn storm phenomenon dumped 21.6 inches of snow in Millbrook and knocked out power to more than 99,000 homes and businesses in the counties of Dutchess and Ulster. State Police in Millbrook, said parts of the Taconic State Parkway and Interstate 684 are closed. Warming shelters are being created in some municipalities.

Dutchess County Executive William R. Steinhaus has lifted the state of emergency in the county from 12 pm today.

Steinhaus said, “Residents are still urged to stay safe and stay home and off the road. There are still many issues that need to be addressed ranging from downed trees and power lines to traffic signs outside exploitation. Stay off the roads and allow teams to tackle large work efforts should be addressed. ”

More than 2,000 calls came in the Dutchess County personnel office 911 from noon-10 pm Saturday.

LOOP bus service has been canceled and will resume on Monday.

Dutchess County LOOP bus sent two buses at Courtyard Marriott and Hilton Garden Inn in Fishkill in shelters has been created to have stranded motorists along Interstate 84 and Taconic State Parkway.

LOOP buses provided to shuttle people and return them to their vehicles.

According to Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corp., 65,471 of the 115,932 customers of the service company in Dutchess County and 20,316 to 87,947 customers of the utility in Ulster have lost the power to 2 pm

New York State Electric & Gas reports 11,663 of its 15,386 customers in 2197 Dutchess and Ulster of its 5355 customers are without power until 2 pm

Local snowfall totals ranged from 4.5 inches at the point of the high salt in Millbrook, according to the National Weather Service. Pine Plains reported 16 inches of snow. The National Weather Service reported eight inches of snow in Dutchess County airport this morning, 11.5 inches in Wappingers Falls and 8 inches in Rhinebeck.

In Ulster County, snow reports ranging from 2.8 inches to 9.5 in Saugerties in Palentown.

Warming centers opened today by the following municipalities:
