Cause Of Andy Rooney’s Death, Andy Rooney of 60 minutes died Friday at a hospital in New York at age due to complications from minor surgery 92.

According to Reuters, commentator Andy Rooney 60 minutes, died Friday at a hospital in New York. Andy Rooney’s death comes just a month after he gave his last comment 60 minutes on 2 October. The cause of death was reported as complications of minor surgery, is still unknown at this time.

Andy Rooney joined CBS in 1949 as a writer on the agenda for the Arthur Godfrey Talent Scouts radio. Rooney then transition to television and eventually landed in 60 minutes. Jeff Fager, executive producer of 60 minutes, shared his feelings about the death of a friend. “It’s a sad day in ’60 Minutes’ and everyone here at CBS News,” Fager said. “It’s hard to imagine not having around Andy. He loved life and lived it in their own terms. We will miss him very much.” Andy Rooney was 92 years old at the time of his death.
