Cash Cab Death, A pedestrian died in Vancouver, Canada when he was beaten by a taxi replication used in the TV show “Cash Cab”. Vancouver Police said the resident of 61 years, Surrey died in hospital after being beaten on a downtown street this weekend shortly after the vehicle had been used in a production meeting.
“Cash Cab” is syndicated game show in which unsuspecting passengers hop and given the opportunity to answer questions and win money for their trip. The taxicab is not real and was not connected to the Yellow Cab Company of Vancouver.
Lindsey said Constable Houghton Postmedia News had not filed charges, but the vehicle was impounded and the investigation continues. “There were no witnesses,” said Houghton.
The identity of the victim was not released. The show’s producers issued a statement of condolences and said the pilot and crew were “devastated by this tragic accident.”
