Casey Anthony Trial, The second week of jury selection in Casey Anthony’s trial resumes this morning at Pinnell County, Florida
Twelve jurors have been arrested after jury selection last week that lasted until Saturday. For the needs of 12 jurors and eight alternates for a start, but Judge Belvin Perry says he’ll start swearing jurors when they reach 15.
Jury selection is expected to conclude on Tuesday with the trial set to begin Thursday in Orlando, reports CBS affiliate WKMG.
Jury selection takes place outside of Orlando in the Tampa area because of intense media coverage, near where the alleged murder of Caylee age of 2 years occurred.
Anthony, 25, could face the death penalty if convicted of first-degree murder in 2008 death of her daughter. He is also accused of aggravated child abuse, aggravated manslaughter of a child and providing false information to police. She has pleaded not guilty and maintains a babysitter kidnapped Caylee.
