Cartoons Facebook, If you search through Facebook profiles lately, you might not see many real faces. Instead you will find pictures of “Ren and Stimpy,” “Rugrats,” Rocko from “Rocko’s Modern Life” and more. This new trend: users change their profile photos, pictures of cartoon characters cartoons of the 80 or 90, became very popular.
According to the Huffington Post, it all started as part of a campaign against child abuse. As one user wrote:
“From now until December 7, change your profile picture to a cartoon character from your childhood. The goal is not to see any human faces on Facebook, but an invasion of memories the fight against child abuse. Remember we were kids too: D.”
According to the Washington Post in support of this cause, people have changed their profile pictures of cartoons from different decades, depending on when they grew up with “Boris and Natasha” in the ’70s and “Strawberry Shortcake “in the ’80s, to” Rugrats “in the 90′s and more.
