Carol Decker T’Pau

Carol Decker T’Pau, Gary Barlow issued an apology to T’Pau’s Carol Decker after a comment that he made regarding the singer after an ‘X Factor’ contestant performed one of the group’s songs.

The Take That lead singer was gushing over Amelia Lily’s performance of T’Pau’s song, “China In Your Hand.” Barlow praised Lily’s performance, commenting that she managed to maintain perfect pitch, a feat that he believed Decker failed to do. Barlow made the comment on-air, angering Decker.

“What is your f**king problem?” Decker posted to her Twitter account.

The “Heart and Soul” singer then noted that she “suffered” through a Take That concert over the summer because her children had asked to see the group’s reunion tour, ‘Progress.’ Decker then added, “I have perfect pitch.”

Barlow issued an official apology to the singer early today through his Twitter account.

“Sincere apologies for my comment,” he wrote. “There was no need.”

The Take That singer then attempted to lighten the situation by apologizing again to Decker for having to sit through the band’s show. Decker admitted that her feelings were hurt by his words, but graciously accepted his apology.
