CAPCO, The plans submitted by Capco subsidiary Earls Court & Olympia Ventures, a second floor will be developed at the Olympia on West Hall, providing the room with a total of 90,000 sqm of exhibition space. Strengthening the links in the Grand Hall Olympia and 2 will also be developed.
The redevelopment of the conference will result in more events can occur simultaneously at the conference center Olympia.the currently hosts over 70 performances a year.
However, Capco said that 80% of the programs now occupy less than 100,000 square feet, it is hoped that the reconfiguration of the center will bring more of these shows in the center.
Gary Yardley, Chief Investment Officer of Capco, said: “The approval of our redevelopment plans provide us with an opportunity to intensify operations in Olympia once construction is complete.
“This project is part of our overall strategy to identify the latent value through the delivery of our plans to regenerate our Earls Court & Olympia succession.”
Work should begin on the scheme in 2011 and will gradually allow the site to continue operating.
The completion of the project, which was designed by ColladoCollins, in 2012.
