Canadian Man 225 Miles, A “confused” man from the B.C. Interior kept driving for two hours along a Washington State highway after his wife died in the passenger seat, U.S. authorities said Tuesday.
“The husband stated he was confused as to what he should do so he kept driving,” said Chief Robert Burks of the Tonasket Police Department in a news release.
Burks said the man, whom he did not identify, stopped at the police department because “he wasn’t sure how to transport his wife across the border.”
The couple were coming back to Canada from Oregon, through an area of central Washington State not far from the Canadian border at Osoyoos.
