That’s the word from several video game reviewers who got a chance to test-drive the game less than two weeks ago.
“It walks a fine line of providing more-of-the-same experience and introducing slight changes,” says Tina Palacios, community manager on 1up.com and IGN.com. “The campaign wraps up the last two Modern Warfare games in a decent manner; be warned that some of the storytelling elements are recycled; fans will definitely experience moments of déjà vu. Multiplayer is still the bread and butter of this franchise, and is better than ever.”
Adds Rob Smith of Machinima.com: “This is clearly a Call of Duty game, following a blockbuster formula that has proved incredibly successful, so without a doubt, those wanting more of the same, with a fresh dose of bigger and better, will be very satisfied.”
That is echoed by Stephen Cameron of XboxAddict.com: “It’s the same goodness, a lot of the same awesome things that people expect.”
