Bush & Obama’s Invitation

May 4, 2011 by USA Post

Bush & Obama’s Invitation, Former President George W. Bush declined an invitation from President Obama to join him at ground zero tomorrow. “President Bush will present on Thursday,” said his spokesman, David Sherzer. “He welcomed the invitation, but has chosen in his post-presidency to remain largely out of the spotlight. It continues to celebrate with Americans this important victory in the war on terror.”

Bush has tried everything possible to stay out of the limelight after his presidency. Last year, Obama made an exception when asked, and former President Bill Clinton to join him in Haiti after the earthquake. Bush, however, made a statement congratulating Obama on Monday for his efforts to capture and kill Osama bin Laden.

Obama will visit the World Trade Center to meet with the families of the victims of 9 / 11 attacks. Seems a little odd that the first man who declared war against t*rror*sm and Bin Laden, opting for this occasion. He may not have finished what you started, but at least I could take part in the event that brings closure to the families of the victims.
